Laghetto del Pertus

In Costa Valle Imagna, about 10 minutes from Roncola, in the Forcella Alta area, lies Laghetto del Pertus, enclosed by a wooden fence. The small lake is situated at the foot of Monte Tesoro (1,431 m) on a gentle plateau, on the border between the Bergamo and Lecco sides of the valley.

A popular destination both in summer and winter, the lake sits at the junction of two valleys. From here, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Valle Imagna as well as the lakes of Brianza. On clear days, the distant peaks of Monviso and Monte Rosa are also visible.

Laghetto del Pertus is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature, whether having a picnic or resting in a tent. In addition, several trekking trails start from the lake, making it a great base for hikes to Monte Tesoro or Resegone. There is also a refuge at the lake where visitors can find food and rest. To reach the lake from the Valle Imagna side, follow the provincial road that passes through the towns of Sant’Omobono and Costa Valle Imagna, following the signs for the Valcava pass. About 1.5 km from Valcava, turn sharply right towards Pertus to reach the lake.
